Final project for a color class at University of Montréal, Winter semester 2016.
I had to design a lampshade inspired by a given color (green-yellow in my case). I tried different approaches inspired by the segmented aspects of plants and bulbs and the translucency of leaves.
I ended up very happy with the plain exterior shape when the lamp is turned off, which comes to life and takes on the aspect of light shining through the leaves when turned on.
Komorebi (木漏れ日) means “sunlight filtering through trees” in Japanese.
